University Projects

Here are a selection of projects that I created for my undergraduate degree studying Digital Media at the University of Hertfordshire

Year 1

Sum: Tales from the Afterlives (illustration project)

For this assignment I had to create 2 illustrations and a front cover artwork for the book ‘Sum: Forty Tales from the Afterlives’ (2009) by David Eaglemen.

The Adventures of Red Bull Racing (The Explorer)

My task for this project was to create a character that can be controlled using my computer keyboard to explore an interactive, animated environment. You are encouraged to engage with animated movement, timeline control and repeated sequences within my piece.

We were required to use Adobe Animate to create the games, and the premise of my game  was that the Red Bull Racing guys have arrived at the circuit completely unprepared, they did not bring anything with them in order for them to race at the weekend. Therefore, it is the users job to help the drivers to find their belongings around the paddock

Year 2

Web Communities and Interactive Cultures (Online Artefact)

For this assignment we were required to create an interactive narrative/game for the web using skills we have gained so far. My project My project is a celebration of the career of Sebastian Vettel. It will be an interactive website which will educate users on how the 4-time Formula One World Champion got to where he is today. I created all of the illustrations myself using Adobe Illustrator. (All information correct at time of creation)

Year 3

Web Arts

For this assignment we were asked to invent, design, develop, create, realise, implement, an artefact which belongs to the field of Web Arts. What I came up with was a nostalgic throwback to the Windows 95/98 era of Web Art with a mash up video of  elements that would remind people of using the software.
